I purchased a Soma airbag, which is designed to transport a surfboard in an airliner cargo bay, safely. Upon arrival in Costa Rica the airbag sustained a tear in it resulting in deflation and damage to my surfboard. Soma supplies a patch kit, so I repaired it and tested the repair, it was fine. On the return flight, a seam ripped open resulting in deflation and again resulting in damage to my surfboard, which was purchased new two days prior to my trip. Soma's warranty is a 1 year material, 5 year workmanship garuantee. I have attempted contact them numerous times through email and phone and have yet to get a response from them. This has been going on since April.
