This may seem small and petty to some of you but for a teacher this is an annoying, time-consuming, frustrating problem. The pencils i (and many of my colleagues) have purchased at home depot are worthless! Out of a dozen pencils, we're lucky to get 4 - 5 that actually work. The others cannot be sharpened without breaking or break the first time they are used! It is frustrating to have students constantly out of their seats trying to sharpen your worthless pencils. During testing we are provided with two pencils per student so that they will have a back up if one breaks, i literally was unable to use over 2 dozen of the home depot pencils that were provided. I prefer ticonderoga pencils which have a consistant success rate. Unfortunately, my school district provides the home depot brand. After years of being disappointed with home depot pencils, i no longer waste my money on your products. During these struggling economic times, it is ridiculous that money spent on such a necessary product used every day is basically thrown in the garbage.
