Lens crafters complete failure review

1) making an appointment at the Lincolnwood Mall Lenscrafters is pointless. I made an appointment and still had to wait an hour while walk-ins went in ahead of me.
2) I paid for a complete fitting for RGP lenses (I have astigmatism) and was told that my lenses would be in within 5-7 days.
3) Dropped by after 5 days to see when the lenses would be in, and was told they hadn't been ordered yet, and was given some sketchy excuse that 'corporate' had to approve the order because the lenses were custom made to meet my needs.
4) So, no lenses by the promised time, nobody bothered to explain to me that this was the procedure, nobody bothered to call me to tell me there was going to be a delay, AND the employee refused to give an outlook for when the lenses would be ordered, let alone delivered.
It took them almost 20 minutes to process my refund.
On a personal level, profoundly disappointing. I've waited more than 2 years to get these RGP lenses, which I really need because of rapidly deteriorating vision quality. Timed the order to sync with my vacation time to give me a chance to adapt. All for nothing.
Worst customer service EVER. Not even an apology for the inconvenience and complete absence of communication. Will never do business with lenscrafters again!!!
