I recently was terminated from Wal-Mart store 2196 becouse of a letter sent to Wal-Marts home office in Bentonville, Arkansas. The letter was sent by an ex employee who himself was terminated for tape recording customers without their knowledge to prove that they were lyers.

Approximately two months prior to my termination this individual was in the store I worked at and deliberately knocked several items of the pegs they were hanging on in my department as I watched, then stepped back and admired his mess laughed and walked away.

As I was cleaning up his mess I uttered quietly to myself a comment that he was over heard by this person becouse he was hiding around to corner waiting to see what kind of reaction he would get. A complaint was made about me by this individual to a manager trainee, who sent a support manager to talk to me about this incident. At this point I thought the situation had been address.

After that day this same individual repeately came into store 2196 and and slowly walked my department trying to intimidate me and get me to react to his presence.
He again made a complaint that I had made derogatory comments about him which was false and the support manager agreed and determined that he was just harassing me to cause trouble for me.

Becouse this individual had it in for me and he apparently felt not enough had been done to disipline me, he then wrote a letter to the home office some two months after the initial incident and made a complaint about me.

The home office reaction was to immediately terminate my employment with Wal Mart thought the two evaluations that I had done during the 17 months I was employed by Wal Mart were exceeded expectations, which is the highest rating for performance that you can get from this company.

This termination was in a sense a double jeopardy situation in which the situation had already been address within the store and determined by the support manager to be harassment on the part of the complaining party.

Wal Mart spouts it's dedication to it's employees, but in reality has no loyalty to them and will terminate anyone in any position for the most minor of reasons. Wal Mart treue concerns is in how fast it can put competitors out of business and how much profit it can retain for itself.

One good example of this is every seven years each store gets remodeled, this remodel comes out of that stores profit line, and as a result home office takes away employee bonus's for the year even though they expect employees to push sales as much as possible and increase company profits for that year.
