Signed up for promotion saw advertised on TV. Had the service for 6 months and then had to move. New landlord strictly prohibited me having Direct TV as he had a very bad experience with their installation. Had to cancel. Then they told me my promotion came with a one year contract. This was NEWS. I was sold and signed up over the phone. A CONTRACT was never mentioned. The total bill was pro-rated and came to $376. I paid $200 immediately and then asked for more time to pay off the rest. NO PROBLEM I was told and I was immediately put into collection for the balance hurting my credit score.
