Repair Man Never Shows Up

Water softener tank leaking, called Sears, it is under warranty. GREAT! They send out a repair man who orders a new tank and sets up an appointment for 2 weeks and says the tank will be delivered to my home. Leave work early to meet the repair man who never shows up. Call the service center who informs me the repair appointment was cancel as the part is back ordered. They never called to cancel they said it was obvious that they weren't coming as the part wasn't there. Heck they could have planned to bring it with them as I received no cancellation message.

Part comes - schedule a new appointment - scheduled to come between 8am and 12pm. Hubby stays home from work. 10:20 call to check on status, they say repairman in the area should be there soon. 12:30 call again to customer service - take my number - someone will call me. 2:00 no call so I call customer service again. I am told the service man was hung up on a job and is on his way, then he also states that he is just finishing up a job and will be on his way. Ask for clarification is he on his way or will be on his way? Was told I was the next customer. It is now 5:20PM no call and no service man. Can't leave because he might show up. No use calling customer service as they told me at 10:30 he was on his way! Very frustrated. There are laws against this in California for a good reason.
