I have scheduled repair service online twice in the last three months. I have received confirmation e-mails with confirmation number, and then no one shows up. I then called customer service who informed me that they were sorry, but the online scheduling has some problems, and that they encourage people to call for appointments. There is no obvious phone number to call on the web site, it guides you through an online scheduling process. They then offered to schedule another appointment for 4 days later, when I would need to take the day off of work. I asked how I knew that they would actually schedule an appointment, and she replied that she would give me a confirmation number. I asked how that meant something coming from her, when it didn't mean an actual appointment when Sears e-mailed it to me, I then asked to speak to a manager or supervisor but was never connected. This is horrible customer service. I have purchased Sears appliances for over twenty five years, but will never do so again, as I don't want to deal with the awful service department, or the awful call center service. I will encourage everyone I know to never use Sears home repair service.
