I ordered a work at home computer company on June 22. They required my bank account to aquire payments from the things i sold for the companies i contracted with. I never imagined there was another company requiring my money for payments. They didn't make it clear. I thought it was the division of the computer company. On July 6, i cancelled the program and looking at my bank statement there was this Powerhouse charge to my account for 49.95. I called them the same day to cancel. The customer service assured me there was no problem it was within the 30 days. Apparently they tried to remove the 49.95 from my account on the same day but the amount bounced because i didn't have it in my account. I then received a bill in the mail in the next week but just thought it was an oversight with the billing dept not realizing i cancelled the service. Then on July 13, i realized after i got my disability check they removed the 49.95 again which didn't leave me enough to pay my other bills. I called Powerhouse and they informed me i only had 3 days to cancel the service of their company, not 30 days. I fell this is not legal. I never knew i was signing up for their services. I thought i was only using the company computer the merchants i was to sell for. I think it is very tricky the way they get people to sign up with them. I hope you can help me as i need my money back to prevent another overdraft in my account.
