Modem Rebate Denied Because It Was Not Claimed Early

I was told back when I got my internet that I would get a 100.00 rebate from them when I paid my 10.00 a month for 10 months on my modem, I called for my rebate now they claim they can not do it because I did not claim it the 1st four months I had service with them. If I had known I would have done it but was not told that by the rep. Another att scam.
