Delayed Delivery

We had ordered a product and needed it delivered ASAP so we chose 2nd day air shipping. On the day that it was due to be delivered my dogs bark as they usually do when someone is at our house. This alerted my that UPS was there. Our house sit about 600 feet off of the road. I watch the UPS driver drive by our house and then come back and park at our mailbox and for several minutes and then drove off. Later when I checked online for the update it said "Customer not available on 1st attempt. 2nd attempt will be made". I could not believe they had listed that as the reason. When I contacted the driver supervisor. She said the driver had been jumping up and down and yelling trying to get someones attention so that they would come out and get the package. She indicated that they do not deliver where the dogs might be hostile. She said the driver indicated the dogs hair on its back was up. Not sure how he saw that from 600 feet away. I never saw the guy trying to get my attention and I was watching from the window trying to figure out what he was doing. We have two turnarounds in our driveway so the driver could have easily driven down the driveway and I would have came out to get the package. You can easily see these turnarounds from the road. This false entry is going to make it difficult to get a refund for the 2nd day shipping that we requested. I have lost my trust in UPS.
