The free phone that I chose began heating up after a few months of use. I got it replaced and the second one had the same heating problem. It became so hot that I thought it would eventually catch fire. I called to terminate the contract and they asked for a huge termination fee saying that this is because I got the handset at a discounted price from them. Discounted price for a faulty phone (or should I say - a piece of brick!) I guess that is how ATT is clearing off its inventory. After being for ATT for 4 years, I have finally decided to switch. I was charged $130 for early termination. Lesson learnt! I am absolutely positive that I will never give them my business again.
