College Billed $41.05 Though I Was Told Visa Would Pay

I recently used FedEx to mail off my transcript request. I asked the customer sales associate whether I could send a FedEx envelope to my previous college so they could forward my transcript to my new college and get it processed through the mail faster. I also asked whether I could pay for the postage now so my previous college would not have to worry about any postage fees, because that is not their problem. The customer sales associate told me FedEx would bill my Visa card once the college was ready to send the envelope back. Wow!

Maybe a week later, I got an email from my previous college saying FedEx had sent them a bill for $41.05. They said they would never have sent my transcript out if they had known this would happen, and they placed my records on hold because of all this confusion. I am very disappointed. I was told one thing and FedEx did another. I am not sure why the customer sales associate told me I would be billed on my Visa by FedEx and it never happened. In the future, please say what you mean and do what you say!

I threw the tracking number and receipt away, and I hope FedEx will contact me to get this bill paid, because I am not happy about the outcome of this delivery, which was my first time using FedEx. I used the FedEx in Honolulu, HI.
