Best Buy
Poor Customer Service

Miscellaneous

I'm writing to remark on my dissatisfactorily shopping experience at Best Buy. I was in need of an adapter for my charger and noted that it was available at the Houston/Broadway Best Buy store. However, after traveling 35 minutes to the store, I was informed that there was inaccuracies with the stock inventory, so apparently there was none available. It took the sale associate, Deandra 15 minutes to determine that, which is a long time. Not only that, she was socializing with another person, who was not a customer at the same time, which is inappropriate. Meanwhile during my wait, there was a line of people waiting for assistance with no employees coming to attend to them, which implies that Best Buy does not value customer service. Deandra utimately told me that there was stock at the 62nd st location, but I was not in the mood to travel up after (1) spending over half an hour to travel to the store, (2) not being treated appropriately when I saw her chatting with someone else and (3) inaccuracies with the stock inventory, which made me waste my time. Though I was asked whether the adapter I had in my hands was appropriate, I was not going to purchase it because it was more than double the price of the adapter that was not in stock. That is simply a ripoff.in the end, I chose to bring my business to another retailer, and purchased an adapter that was even cheaper than what Best Buy had to offer, which is a contradiction to its name.
