Applebees Neighborhood Grill and Bar
Served our appetizer, steak together at the same time = salad came later - then steak went to warming light for 10 minutes

We go to Applebees about 1 time a week and typically spend around $60.00. As an ex waitress we typically tip more than the typical 1.5%. The last 2 times we have went we ordered an appetizer, a side salad and a steak, and told the waitress that we did not want them all together. Our appetizer is set down on the table and before you can even take one bite the salad is there with the steak immediately following. I think most people would rather have their appetizer at least one half way thru before being slammed wtih their salad and their steak simutaneously. Tonight we got appetizer and steak - but no salad - Then our steaks went back to the warmer for 10 minutes whiile we ate our salad. Only as we are paying our bill did the manager offer free desert to make up for the same mistake twice in a row. Waitress was great and tried, she explained order to cook and manager prior to ordering meal, but still food is served in one fair swope - making customers feel that they are being rushed out of the restaurant so that the table can be filled.
