Direct tv just isn't worth it

I have been a Direct TV customer for about 14 months and am very disappointed. I purchased an extra protection and service plan for a monthly fee and called them today to get my Dish realigned because we just had our house roofed due to storm damage. I have never called to use my service plan and they informed me that it does not cover my problem, but will cost me $54.00 and I have to pay today it cannot be billed to my account. I have always paid my bill on time and I have 4 months left on the lease of my equipment. I will be canceling my service at that time. Besides todays problem it is not worth it that every time the weather is bad I have no service and I have to clean off the dish every time we get snow to get a signal. It's just not worth the small amount of money you save with sign up deals to be stuck with a service contract and customer service that is this bad.
