Target
Driver licenses - driver license scans

Miscellaneous

I recently purchased wine at the Target in Altamonte Springs. Fl. I hadn't bought wine ther before. The cashier asked to see my drivers license and then she scanned it. Wasn't told it would be scanned. I asked why, was told all liquor purchased have to be scanned so no underage sales. I am a senior citizen. Then I asked where the information went and who has access. Cashier assured me it went "no place, I'm sure". I asked again at the service desk. Was told all liquor sales are scanned, have to do it. And all "data is dumped afer 90 days". These are bad answers. Actually, nonanswers. No data goes "no place". How is it dumped? Who has access in the interum? The store people looked at me like I was NUTS to question them. Just tuff, we'e going to do it. With attitude. Target need to train its people to check ID, not be stupid and just scan. Maybe if they trained better, their emoployees could do their job. The "service" window people were barely civil. I just want to know WHO HAS MY DRIVER'S LICENSE INFO??? Ps I'll NEVER buy wine there again. The employees don't care so I will take my money across the street to Costco. They know how to teach courtesy.
