Vacuum Fire - Kenmore Vacuum

My Kenmore central vacuum hose and power wand caught on fire while I was using it. Sears expects me to pay for a service call and refused to replace the damaged parts because the vacuum was over a year old. The manager was rude and lacked empathy. The flames came close to burning my hand and my house could have caught on fire!
