Air conditioner repair - ac/furnace

My air conditioner was not cooling prperly. A service technician came out on the 29 of June. He said all that was needed was to keep the filters clean. It is now July 6 and it is still blowing lukewarm air. I scheduled another service call for today between 8A.M. And 12 P.M. I received a call around noon time that he wouldnt be out until after 3:30 P.M. At 4:30 I called and was told that they had it down that it had to be rescheduled. I took a day off from work to sit around the house and wait for the technician. What a poor way to run a company. Whoever does the scheduling should be let go.
