Signed a contract with National Prep Network (aka Game Film Solutions, Game Film Acquisitions etc) in September. Company rep/partner was Jimmy Cordy. The company was also somehow affiliated with Varsity Gold so I somewhat trusted them. They need help creating football highlight videos for kids from all over the country from raw game film they have solicited from high school football coaches. Everything is put on online. Sounds like a great idea - way of the future. I start cutting video almost around the clock as I am to get paid per video. All runs smooth at first as they give me as much work as I can handle and they pay up monthly (per terms of the contract) up until December. I submit my January invoice for close to $2500 which is for a ton of time/work in front of a computer cutting and editing video. Get an email the next day from Jimmy Cordy saying:
"I regret having to send this message to you. We are not going to be able to continue paying contractors for a period of time. We are working on some re-org and funding challenges right now, so I wanted to let you know that we need to terminate our contract with you for the time being as of today. We are looking at some alternative funding sources as we work through this and are optimistic we will find what we are looking for."
