Factory Direct Wholesale, eBay Sent BROKEN cage and wants ME to pay $75 return shipping. Holding my money HOSTAGE

I purchased a heavy duty crate for my dog from eBay. I paid $200 including shipping. When the cage arrived, the hinges on the cage were broken and cannot be repaired. The box was not compromised so I believe this seller shipped the cage already broken.

When I contacted the seller, he told me "I" had to pay return shipping (which would be $75) because it says in his ad "seller pay return shipping." Well, If I was returning it because I changed my mind, okay, I'll pay the shipping. He sent me a broken cage and wants ME to pay $75 out of my own pocket to return his junk to him.

I told him I'd help him file a claim with FedEx but FedEx won't pick it up until the seller authorizes the return shipping, which he won't do.

So, bottom line, I'm stuck with a broken, worthless piece of metal bars that wouldn't hold a bunny rabbit for $200 OR I need to pay $75 for the privilege of returning his broken piece of crap when HE was the one who shipped ME broken merchandise.
