I took my 2001 Chevrolet Z06 to a dealer because my check engine light came on. After Inspection, I was told that the thermostat was stuck open and that the water pump was leaking.
I called National Dealers Warranty to file a claim. I was told I needed to call Choice Manufacturing Company, 777 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, New Jersey (877-212-5246). I told them about the repairs that needed to be made and I was told that I needed to show maintenance records for the past year. I did so. I was told by the dealer that my claim was denied because I had missed a engine oil change. I did no miss an oil change. I was going by the computer in the car that told me when I needed to have the engine oil changed.
I'm no rocket scientist, but what does engine oil have to do with a water pump?
Anyway, I contacted Choice Warranty Company and after I figured I wasn't going to get anywhere with them, I decided to call National Dealers Warranty.
