Warranty does not cover anything. Non-responsive staff. Barriers to service

I am struggling to understand how this business has survived with such unresponsive customer service and disrespect for paying customers. National Dealers Warraty company has a tag line of "Peace of mind for that next bump in the road", but all I have experienced is frustration and disappointment when my "bump in the road" came. I bought a used car from a private party. The car came with a "transferable warranty".

When I tried to transfer it, I called the National Dealers Warranty company and no one knew the process to transfer the car into my name. I left several messages and received no call back. On my seventh call to the company, I got a hold of someone who sent me a one page sheet to fill out. I gathered all of the car's records and sent in a check for the transfer of the warranty, as well as the car's maintenance records.

The warranty company did not call me when they received my paperwork and I had to call them to check on the status. They claimed that they could not transfer the warranty because I did not have the oil changed every 4,000 miles. My car does not require an oil change every 4,000 miles and I have records to prove that the car was checked and the dealer said that the oil was fine on several occasions. The transmission on the car recently went out (which has nothing to do with oil changes) and repairs cost $7,509.96 (17% of my income). The warranty company continues to give me the run around, has not once returned my phone calls, emails or letters. They also refuse to transfer and pay my claim, which is just not right.
