Can I ask how this company can send out a collection letter after being only 3 days late? My payment was due February 13 (a Saturday). On February 16, which technically was the next business day, they sent me a collection letter in a manila envelope like I was a criminal. I believe we have a 10-day grace period (til Feb. 23), so how can they send this? I believe that this is a horrible practice. I have had this loan for almost 2 years and while I've been a couple of weeks late normally, this goes beyond horrible. Should I report them to the banking commissioner of Connecticut?
