Fraudulent and Deceptive! Upon my inital call for a bundle package from Verizon, which included Direct TV, I ordered a comparable package to the HD service I was used to receiving from another company. I was told I had 30 days to decide if it worked for me, or there would be a pro-rated $480 disconnect fee. Not trusting the Verizon rep, I called Direct TV to confirm this 30-day period, specifically, the exact day this period would end. The Direct TV Rep confirmed the 30-day period and the exact day was August 9.

After installation, I wasn't happy with the quality and found out I had not received HD service. Direct TV told me it would cost $99 for an HD box. So disappointed, I requested a cancellation and was told that the termination fee would be charged to my credit card. WHAT??? I argued with the rep and her Supervisor that I was told I had 30-days. It had only been 2 weeks. The Supervisor was rude and did not want to work with me. I'm taking this to Consumer Affairs.
