Installer Had Customer Sign 24-Month Lease After Free Receiver Promise

I was a long term (over 4 yr) customer of direct TV. I bought a new HD TV and called to get a new receiver. I was told there would be no charge, and people did this every time. I asked directly if there was anything I would be responsible for, I was assured there wasn't. Long story short after the installer was there 3 hours, and broke my garden ornaments, he handed 2 papers to sign. I thought they were just to show he had completed the work. I asked, and he told me that was correct. Upon further inspection, one was actually a lease agreement, a contract for 24 months. I told him I was not signing this. He called customer service, and the man told me I had to sign it as the new satellite was up and I had the new box. After 45 minutes of trying to explain what happened, my only option was sign it or have the guy take everything down and they said I would have to pay for his labor. HUH? I have read all over the internet, and this is how direct TV extorts people. I read over 500 complaints regarding this, so it is not just me. I am going to call the DA of Denver and the FCC and the BBB Monday and see if there is anything that can be done. This is illegal.
