Manipulates sales on ebay

Russo Power Equipment had an item listed on ebay with several days of the auction left to bid. I contacted them directly, asking them if they would take less for the item.

They responded by saying, they would wait to the end of the auction to consider the offer.

When I checked to see if anyone else had bidded on the item with 1 day and 8 hours left, the item had been pulled from the auction.

I spent the next 20 minutes or so contacting the company directly to inquire as to what had happened.

After being put on hold, 3 seperate times and forgotten about, someone finally informed me, that due to "UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES" the mower was pulled from the auction and SOLD in the store!

When I asked them to explain the "UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES", I was laughed at, and my question had been repeated to me!

As if I didn't have the right to an explanation!

The only plausible explanation could be, that they had a better in store offer, so they utilized their right to remove it from ebay early and sell it another way.

This of course would make selling on ebay a joke!

As it would allow anyone to advertize an item, allow us all to bid on it and wait day after day, checking the auction to see if someone has out bid us, all in hopes of acquiring something wanted or needed, and then..."poof" the item is gone, and wasn't even sold to another bidder on the advertized site, but "in house"!

I will never due any business with this company, and I can only hope you can avoid any wasted time and efforts in dealing with them too!
