AC system Defect Cover-up

Air Specialist is the contractor that installs AC units for builders. I was informed by the air specialist tech that our Builder Perry Homes choose to start using a lower quality cheaper AC unit by 'Goodman' instead of the better quality unit 'Carrier'. We have 'Goodman' units. We started experiencing troubles with the units about 6 months after closing. Air specialist came out several times to service the units, but claimed their was no problem with the units and they just needed freon added. Air specialist added freon each time they came for a service call. Air Specialist became extremely agitated when I didn't pay an additional $2000.00 for their warranty, so Air Specialist along with Builder Perry Homes covered up an AC coil defect. Now the coil is completely not working and they refuse to properly fix the unit or replace it. The Builder Perry Homes no longer uses the 'Goodman' AC units because of all the defects, but we are now left with an outrageously excessive problem and a over-the-top price tag to go along with it.

These businesses are scammers and will do any and every thing to cover up defects until the warranty completely runs out, then they will give you the correct diagnosis expecting 'YOU' to pay them to fix it or your children will die from heat exhaustion. This kind of sick business dealing and fraudulent scheming must stop. No one cares that paying customers are cheated because we patronize these businesses believing that they will deal honestly. When the reality is we as customers are stuck to deal on a unlevelled playing field.
