Bad credit loan - insurance scam - stole $1200.00

This company "Financial Assistance Corporation" offered my fiance a $10,000 bad credit loan. They sent us a contract that we had reviewed. It looked all legit. They asked for a payment for insurance on the loan for $840.00. I thought it was a little fishy when the money had to be wired to Canada to one Monique Bryan. Then, the transfer did not go through, so they had us send it to Alastair Hunter.

The next day. Athena Edwards called and said that we could not get the loan, because the money was coming from an outside lender in Canada and the Canadian govt was charging a tax because we were not residents. Athena sent us an email that looked legit again. It was from the Canadian Tax Revenue dept. We sent the $300.00 for the tax. Athena said our loan would be in the bank within the next 24 hrs. After that, she would not answer our calls. No money here to this day. We had a friend call her, because they screen their calls. She answered and said that she was still trying to get our loan to clear. Bs. We keep leaving messages almost everyday.

All we want is out money back, but we know that will probably never happen. I traced their cell phone that they called me from to Jackson, MI. It is disconnected now, of course. Please take this advise. There is NO SUCH THING as a Bad Credit Loan, unless it comes from your local bank with you putting down some kind of collateral. I hope this helps someone out there hold on to their hard earned money in these economic times. It is hard enough to make without getting it stolen from sick thieves like them!
