Harry Freeman / Albert Garners
Henry Cohen Attempted to trick me into cashing a fraudulant check

Miscellaneous

I received a letter in the mail from Publishers Clearing House saying that I was the second place winner of a $7,000, 000.00 prize. My winning was in the amount of $1,000, 000.00.

The letter itself looked very professional and honest. It looked like a certificate of some sort.in the letter it asked me to call 1-888-832-5726 Ext #1. I google searched this number and found that the same number was also used in other cases of a totally different type. All claiming to be fraud!

I was to call this number, (ext belonging to Harry Freeman) and give them a security code before doing anything.

In the letter was also a check in the amount of $5,890.00.instead of calling the number I decide to do a little investigating. I called the bank that was listed on the check and found that it had changed names and that the address was now a Home Dept or something.

The account number had been a good number at one point belonging to "Dimpy LLC" out of Seaside Heights, NJ. I don't believe that the business on the check had anything to do with it, but possibly someone from the company who had access to the checks.

At the end of the letter it stated "Security code and Prize information are kept highly confidential for safety and security reasons. The Internal Revenue agent handling your file is Mr. Henry Cohen." In closing it was signed, Congratulations again. Then signed by a Albert Garners "Chief Financial Officer".
