Got letter from PCH saying i won a million dollars and also received a check for $5889.00 Canada

I received a letter today from the Publishers Clearing House saying the my name was the Third Place winner of the 15 Million Dollars Grand Prize Draw, Sponsored by Martha Stewart Living Magazine. The total Amount to be claimed for third prize is One Million Dollars US Dollars. I also received an official check for $5,889.00, which looked VERY Real. The issuing back was Northern Trust Bank of Florida, 770 E Atlantic Ave Delray Beach FL 33444 Check Number 805717 Dated 08/19.

The letter came in an UNMARKED, PLAIN envelope WITHOUT a return address. It was POSTMARKED from CANADA.

The letter instructed me to call a 'representative', Mr. Jefferey Weinstein @ 1- (888)-690-9897 EXT#1. It also had a 'SECURITY CODE'-Z10097BW3 The letter went on to state that per Federal Law, the 'security code' and prize info. Are kept 'highly confidential' for safety and security reasons. Also, that an INTERNAL REVENUE AGENT was assigned to my case. The IRS agents's name was MR. HARVEY ARMSTRONG and could be contacted @ 1- (514)-699-2389 and the letter was signed CATHY STEWART CFO.

I called the number for the Representative stated on the letter as the letter stated to call Before depositing. I received a recording to leave a message, fax a letter or to page the individual. I never received a response or a call back. I then call the "Internal Revenue agent" and received a recording.

To further research I went online and entered the name of the company that was on the check "Love Shack" and called the number that was provided... It is a CLOTHING Store!!!

This is a scam! Dont deposit the check in your account! They will take everything you have!!!
