I cancelled hotel reservations 20 hours later. Law states one has 72 hours to cancel contracts

I booked a hotel room through priceline for total $178.00. Trip was canceled, 20 hours later due to 90 yr old father illness. I canceled hotel room through priceline's website. I never received a confirmation. This was Christmas eve.

Bottom line, I canceled trip within the 72 hour contract period. They refuse to acknowledge email. I do not have a copy because website does not allow one to make a copy before one sends it, so whatever one writes on their website, they can delete. Priceline takes advantage of the consumer. You use their website rules and forget it. They are not honest people. They can delete what they want and you have no copy. Whatever money you think you saved using them before, forget it. They are "cheats".

Do not use priceline. I hope they go out of business They are the absolute worse. I will never, use them again and please do not use these people for anything. There are plenty of other honest websites out there. When I called them they were rude. All I wanted was a credit not a refund. They just pocket my money. They are "crooks".
