Apollo Vans - Cross Country Movers
Furniture, held for ransom

On June 11 Cross Country delivered my furniture to me extremely damaged. About a week before, I refused their services under the apollo vans name and sent them away. Ten minutes after they left my apartment I received
a phone call from from Cross Country Movers, unaware at the time that this was the same company.

That night they came to my apartment with their t shirts turn inside out, of course to hide the company's name.in my opinion this act is very deceptive and desperate. I feel their services was forced upon me unknowingly and they should be held liable for the damages and replacements of my furniture.

I was told that my furniture would be delivered between 3 to 5 days. I received my furniture two weeks later. I moved to Georgia so I had to sleep on the floor for two weeks in a completely empty apartment.

When they arrived with the truck, I was told that it was nothing personal but I had to pay them before they could take my things off the truck. Of course the amount that we agree on had doubled and I refused to pay it. They said that they would keep my furniture and hold it in storage until I paid this ransom.

I should have called the police so an incident report could be written in case I have to file a law suit. Of course I had no other choice but to pay them. As they started taking the furniture off the truck I broke down in tears after seeing the severe damage, it was unbeliveable.

There are so many complaints on this company with horror stories much worse than mine. I would like to file a class action law suit against this company, if anyone is interested.
