Cheats and lies to its customers

Comcast has yet to pay the $200 rebate they promised. The rebate promotion is on their web site. I followed all the requirements and still no check. First, I called Comcast after eight weeks had past since submission. Was told it can take twelve weeks to receive. Twelve weeks came and went. I called and was referred to Check Your Rebate. They said I was on a list to be paid. Great.

The check never came. I called back and was told the "list was scrubbed". I asked why. Gave me some B.S. Reason. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Was told they were in a meeting. I asked to be called back. They did not. I called again and was told I am going to be paid in several weeks. We will see. I forgot to mention that when I called Check Your Rebate, I was on hold for ten minutes before someone answered. Then I had to wait while they checked.

It is apparent from my experience, as well as other people who have filed on line complaints, that Comcast tries to make follow up time consuming and frustrating so the consumer will give up and go away. I was promised twelve weeks and no check so far after twenty weeks despite my six calls.

This has been the most brazen form of consumer deceit I have come across. If you read this, here are some ways to respond. Contact the following:

I have now made it my personal jihad to fight back. I can afford not getting the $200, but feel sorry for the people who really need the money. It is a shame.
