Virginia Dominion Trick invoice cheats customers to the tune of 1.5% per month

Virginia Dominion writes bills to customers in a way that is dishonest.

In a gray area on bill, not on payment coupon, under the heading "Automatically Enroll in our Budget Plan" and at the very end of the paragraph:

Join by paying the "Offer Amount" on the payment coupon and we will automatically enroll you.

Get ready for a rip off.

Since I detach the coupon from the bill, I accidentally paid too much on my last Virginia Dominion power bill $207.00 was due but I accidentally paid $271.00. You may think: no problem, how can paying too much cause the company to rip me off, well get ready to be cheated.

So I'm automatically enrolled, without expressed written permission, just by paying too much. The bill for the next bill is $271.00 but the amount actually owed is $64.00. If I do not pay the $271.00 I pay 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

What a rip off.

So far no response from the company.
