Akai Television TV turns itself off and does not come on unable to reach co. All nos.invalid woodland Hills

I have a 27" Akai Plasma HD tv set. It turns itself off and it has been for 29 hours. Usually it turns itself back on but not this time.

I am unable to get anyone on the phone. I tried one site "Ask Akai TV" and the service tech asked for money to give me an answer.

Is this co. A fraud?
