I have to tell you. It's been over 2 1/2 months since I entered a warranty claim on my 42" plasma television. 2 months. I started the claim on 7/3/08 and the television is still sitting in my living room on the floor waiting for a local repair shop to call me and let me know that they've gotten the authorization to fix my television. I've called the warrenty claims people that Akai contracts with at least 8 times. Finally, they say that everything is approved and NOW I've been waiting over two weeks to get Akai at to fax my info to the rapair shop.
This is the WORST service experience I have ever had. VERY bad service. I wish I had never bought an Akai. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and they will tell and they will tell and so on.
