Are Licensed Thieves, not True Friends, but the Backstabber Type

Like the long list of other reported ripped off consumers, Amigo increased my rate from 16 cents to 20 cents to 24 cents before finally Reliant's contract has kicked in.

First year homebuyer with a 1-yr fixed plan with Amigo which ended this past Feb. I didn't realize it ended and that they put me on a VARIABLE plan. I was given NO notice nor does my monthly bill reflect a VARIABLE plan.

The telephone rep at Amigo said they are supposed to notify me 45 days in advance before switching from fixed to variable, THEY DID NOT. Also wouldn't life be grand if the PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION had a policy where the provider was required to report what plan you are currently enrolled in and termination dates. EVEN more how about stating the coming months variable rate, not letting it be a SURPRISE in the mail. What a joke PUC is and the Houston legal/legislative individuals for letting this happen.

I am new homebuyer that learned the hard way. I've sent emails to ALL my local Republican reps and the District Attorney (found a handy website), now it's their time to do something other than accept campaign contributions and talk about how hard it must be.
