Lied to me about the service, then charged my credit card/told me they would be cleared off when equipment was returned

I signed up for 2 months free service, per a flyer received in the mail. THey told me they could port my original phone number over. I was told to call back to confirm and when I did, someone else told me that my phone number could not be ported over. I then had to contact my internet provider to set up a stand-alone service, which took over a month to get set up without problems. Therefore, I never used the phone service and as time went on, I decided I didn't want a landline phone afterall. Your customer service department is very unknowledgeable and most cannot speak the English language clearly.

I spent a lot of time using my cell phone minutes to get things straightened out, only to have your people hang up on me and put me on hold and not come back to me. I was then told I had until 1/21/08 to cancel service under this 2 month promotion. I called on 1/21 and they told me I was a day late. January 21st was on a Monday, and if I was a day late, your people told me that date, since the 20th was on a Sunday and your office is closed.

They told me they were charging me for cancelling a day late, and then said that my account would be credited when I returned the vonage device, which I did on 1/22/08, by UPS.

I just called the customer service line today, 2/9/08 to see why my credit card has not been credited and they didn't know why I was told that. They finally hung up on me. I am so dissatisfied with this company and the way they manipulate to make money, that I am no willing to let this happen. I want me credit card credited for $125.93 for unknown charges.

This company has lied to me and their employees are not trained properly, and also need to take an English class.
