Deceptive advertising and fraud

My wife had cell phone service with Verizon for over 2 years. When she renewed her contract we got a second phone. Verizon promised a $50.00 rebate. We filled out the form just as the salesman told us and mailed it in. The UPC code was printed on the receipt. We received a card back from Verizon claiming we did not furnish the UPC or the ESN/MEID, whatever that is. It's just more obfuscation to avoid honoring their promise. Typical of mail-in rebates. If the company wanted us to have the $50.00 they would just take it off the sales price. I will sue them in Small Claims Court.
