They cost me over 1,500 dollars, and threatened to report me to credit bureau

They kept calling me over and over till i stupidly gave in and ordered a few magazines, this was two years ago, i've been trying to get rid of them ever since. They finally offered me a deal to pay off half of 1797.00, that's what they said i owed for these magazines, which turned out to be 861.00, the next week they called me again, i told them i paid them off and never wanted to hear from them again, ever. She calmly told me i ordered another magzine, i said the hell i did, she said if i had a problem i needed to call this 800 # and straighten it out with them. I tried calling them numerous times, can never ever get anyone on the phone. Now they are charging me for this magazine on my credit card 59.90 a month for i don't know how long. How can i get help? What do i do with these guys? I'm getting ready to cancel my credit card, do i have a legal leg to stand on to not pay them, or to not give them another card #? They threatened me last time i changed my credit card # that they would report me to my credit report company. What can i do?
