Family Readers Service
Scammed me into giving them my credit card number when I already had another company for magazine subsriptions

Family Readers Service called me one night a couple of months ago. I do not know why I talked to them but I did. I had magazine subscriptions from American Readers Service and had paid off the account. They told me they were American Readers Service and were going to a computerized system and needed to ask the same questions as if I were a new customer.
They taped it but I repeatedly told them I had paid off my account and wanted no further charges to my credit card. Of course, that part isn't on the tape which they insisted I listen to.
So my account is being charged $49.95 per month for 25 months and I'm getting duplicate magazines from the two companies. I got a letter from American Readers Service telling me they were calling all of their customers with the same scam.
I have tried calling Family Readers Service at least 20 times and they say they will call me back but it never happens. Then I got a call from a collection agency I think saying my credit card wasn't working. This is probably true because I lost my credit card and got a new number. But I'm afraid they will report to the credit bureau. Please help. They also told me I could cancel the contract if I paid them $350.
