Fired me because I was too young! Ripoff

Well, I began work for this company in March. They knew beforehand that I was 18, had plenty of customer service skills, and that I would do anything I was told to do.

Well, everything was going well, for the three hours that I had been there. Then the manager of the small kiosk called the girl that was training me, his so called "assistant manager" who was 16-17 at the time.

After she had gotten off of the phone, she looked at me and said that Chuck wants to let me go, I asked her why and she proceeded to name off a long list of reasons like that I don't have customer service skills, I don't look like I want to help the customers looking at the candies and fudge. Then it came out. "He thinks you are too young."

She apologized and I told her it was fine, then I was just thinking tonight, wait, isn't that age discrimination? He knew that I was 18 when he hired me, but to say that AFTER he had already hired me, then proceeded to fire me? Is it just an excuse? Or what?
