Teen boy ripped my daughter and I off with lies! Ripoff

Last summer I was outside doing yard work and my daughter comes to me with this young, cute boy and says he's selling magazines for a trip... Or course she is a teenager and fasctinated with him and his lies.
I twenty question him and got bad vibes right away.
He said he went to school here, he mom was a nurse, gave me names and everything but they didn't ring a bell with me. Plus he knew none of my sons in high school.

Needless to say we got talked into a magazine which we did not need but my daughter wanted to help this young man out with his story of needing on one more subscription!

I knew in my heart it was a scam but gave him the benifit of the doubt. That was August 26 and it is now April and no magazine..

I live in Ottawa Illinois and heard nothing of this scam
going around so I'm wondering if I was the only one but I doubt it. Like most people we just sit around and complain about getting ripped off and do nothing.

A similiar incident occurred to me over 22 years ago in New Mexico when I couldn't afford to be ripped off and it hurt us bad. Once again it has happened and I'm not going to take it!

These people should either be arrested for stealing or be put out of business. People who have done less crimes are behind bars so why not these people?
