Ripoff overcharged not soldier friendly

Texstar is a joke and tries to take all the money they can from you on your move out. They are friendly and pleasant to your face until you put in your 30 day notice that you are leaving their property. They could not get me an inspection within those 30 days-this is so they can charge you for everything without your knowledge. I requested a closing statement at least 4 times after I moved out. It wasn't until almost two months after I moved out that they finally provided me with one. They charged me some ridiculous prices for services that were supposedly completed almost two weeks after I moved out.

As follows:

Window Repair-$82.55-no clue to what needed repairing as all windows were intact when I left.

Cleaning-$50.00-no information on what needed cleaning

Grass cutting-$90-come on that in itself is ridiculous and they charged me for this two weeks after I moved out. I mowed the lawn less than a week before I moved out. Of course the lawn needs mowing after a few weeks.

Maint and Repair-charge me $250 for spot paint when I had all holes reparied before I left and even went as far as to leave them the left over paint.

Carpet Cleaning Estimate-$200-they tried to tell me this may of been just an estimate but what carpet cleaning place charges 200 dollars. I also had the carpet professionally cleaned a few days before I left and provided them with the receipt. There was a 100 percent guarantee on the cleaning but of course Texstar would rather charge you money than to do the right thing. Did not provide me with an invoice on who charged them this.

Reinspection fee-$25- well they couldn't get me an inspection but they can sure charge me for a reinspection.

Processing fee-$50-I have no clue what this is for either.

I asked to see the inspector and they told me no problem they would call me after they talked to him. When I called five days later they told me he was on vacation and now I had to put it in writing.

I know a lot of people just like to complain but please listen to what I have to say especially if you are a Soldier. Do not let these people rip you off. Show them that this will not be tolerated. I spent over a week cleaning this house and a couple hundred dollars in professional work and not only do they say they are keeping my deposit but want me to give them more money. Do not believe a waiver deposit will prevent this they will try to send you the bill.
