Phone service blocked for a week after an accidental key press

Securus, the parent company of Evercom and Correctional Billing Services, is ripping off the loved ones of inmates. I hit the wrong telephone key and turned off or blocked our number. It took 1 week to get the service turned back on. We called and reported the mistake the first night, and they said it would be fixed in 24 hours. Guess what, it wasn't. Then they said 48 to 72 hours.

They put my husband on hold for 3 hours and then hung up on him. On the 6th day they told my husband a work order had never been written. Early on the 6th day a man told me he would see that it was fixed and would call me back on the 7th day to make sure. They have us over a barrel. They charge way too much, over $7.00 for a 15-minute call. It is one big rip-off. No wonder they put their systems in for free.
