I realized today (4/19/06) that my account was being debited every 2-3 weeks in the amount of $21.95. I immediately called my bank to found who they were, they were only able to read the numbers off to me, thats when I realized it was a phone number, so I placed a claim against these amounts with my bank, they put a stop payment on it and and send they would contact me within the next 10 business days. I then called the (866) number and was directed to a women who told me that my account was debited because I signed up for a free trial on the internet. I asked when she said back in Dec. 2005. I let her know my account was recently debited on 3/22 and again on 4/14. She told me I had not cancelled my 7 day free trail and that was the reason why. I told her I had never signed up for anything from this company. She said I must have, when I asked her what they do she seemed to get irritated and said they were a roadside service. I told her again I never signed up for this and she said that there was no other wat they could have got my account information. She said should would be able to cancel my right there. Since this saga has begun today I'm not sure what actions my bank will take or if I will ever be refunded the monies I'm owed. Hopefully I will be, keep you posted.
