They ripped off my security deposit and will not answer any of my letters about it. Ripoff Muncie

I rented a month to month apartment to sleep in during the day. My home was an hour and a half drive from my work and I was tired of driving it during the week. The landlords and I agreed on $25 off my first months rent and I would clean it. I gave them $100 security deposit. The neighbors were so noisey during the day that I was unable to sleep. I only stayed there 4 or 5 days and then told the landlords that I would not be renting the next month. I have been trying to get my $100 security deposit back for over a month now and they won't even answer my letters. I did clean the apartment except for shampoo the rugs and I left the apartment better than when I moved in. They have not even responded to my letters. She did work where I did but has quit her job. I have sent them three letters and haven't had any response. The least they could do is give me an explaination why they are not returning my money. I really need the money to pay for the gas driving back and forth to work. Or to put down on another room or apartment. I would classify them as slum lords and would not ever rent from them. If they don't want to do it then they just ignore you. There were only screens on two of the 6 windows, no shower curtain rod, no toliet paper holder, the stairs outside got slipery when it rained, the yard had glass broken throughout (which I picked up), the fridge had mold growing in it, the street where you parked had trash in it, the roof leaked, and there was no security chain nor peep hole on the door.
