LG TV Does Not Work and $250 Shipping Required for Warranty

Purchased a new LG TV. Doesn't work. They want me to spend $250 to ship it for warranty service. That's ridiculous. Why should I have to spend almost as much as the TV set cost in order to get it to do what it should have done in the first place.
