I did an online purchase for flannel pajamas that were supposed to be made in Ireland, using my credit card for a transaction of $72.00.
Although I received an email confirming the order, I couldn't find out how soon the pajamas would arrive, so I tried calling the phone number on the website; all I got was that squeaking sound that you hear on fax phone numbers.
Next, I sent an email to the company through the website; NO response there, either.
Third, I researched the company for scams and found that 4 other people made similar complaints against the company on Scambook (this site). I found the alleged owner of the company's phone number and left a voice message for him, and told him that I was considering contacting the attorney general if I didn't hear from him. STILL no response!
I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge, and found out that as long as I contact them within 60 days of the disputed charge, I won't have to pay... Whew!
Whether this company and owner is dishonest or just incompetent (or over their head), it's such a shame that they have to put the rest of their potential customers through all this stress and inconvenience. You'd think that if these were honest mistakes, they'd at least have the courtesy to shut down their website and stop taking orders until they were able to properly handle their orders!
