This site (carefulconnections.com), which was linked to me by a seemingly very engaging person I had been emailing with, seemed legit. I failed to check the basics of the site, which would have alerted me to the scam nature of it. Anyways, it had been enter credit card info as part of the 'verification' process, which wanted to sign me up for services I did not want, but was able to opt out of. However, following the the submission, a charge of 29.99 appeared on my credit card and the supposed verification didn't happen. It was a quick scan around to figure out that the place was a scam that I had stupidly place my information into.
